Hundreds of dealers and bike industry professionals were at the Milan EICMA show on Sunday following the announcement by Environment minister Stefania Prestigiacomo of a second phase of financial incentives on the opening day of the show.
The news of the incentives to promote bicycle sales has caused huge interest from the professional sector before the campaign begins on September 25.
Bike manufacturers, importers, dealers and other show visitors packed the room hosting the convention to fully understand the details of the 7.7 million Euro campaign.
Giovanna Rossi of the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Maurizio Zampieri of management company Ecocerved explained how the new incentives will work and how dealers, importers and manufacturers have to register and use the new IT system.
Everyone, including old and new dealer/producers can register with the new system before September 25 at the new portal address: www.incentivibiciclette.minambiente.it.
The portal will also be open to the public for whoever wants to benefit from the incentives. They can study a database of dealers divided by region and town.
The presentation of the new incentives at the Milan EICMA show highlights the work done by ANCMA for bike industry professionals. ANCMA bicycle representative Piero Nigrelli was at the meeting to discuss the details of the plan that will help boost bike market for a second time.
