Dear Colleague,

Welcome to the press section!

Here you can download the logos, the photos (obviously, until the Show begins, photos of last year’s edition) and the press releases of EICMA 2009/2010.

For any information, do not hesitate to contact us at press@eicma.it

Below, you will find the instructions on how to receive the accreditation and all the information on what you are going to find at the Fair (accreditation is online).

The modalities are like last year, several changes to offer a better service to professional journalists and make sure that nobody can pass himself for a journalist and get privileges s/he is not entitled to.

Please read the following instructions very carefully.

You can get your accreditation directly at the Show, from the desks reserved for the press, where the person in charge will ask you provide all the relevant data and to fill in a form: Hence the procedure will be somewhat longer.

The easiest way to get your accreditation as a journalist is to follow the online procedure.

Compile the form given herein and we shall send a pdf with the bar code to the email address that you specify (unlike last year, press passes are NOT mailed out, under any circumstances, and can be collected ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY at the Fiera).

When you get to the Fiera, go to one of the ONLINE PRESS PRE-ACCREDITATION desks (not the normal PRESS desks, to avoid standing in a queue) - do NOT go to the PRESS ROOM just yet.

If you are a professional journalist and are in possession of a press card issued by a professional journalists federation, together with your bar code, you must submit your federation membership card: at this point you will be given your PRESS pass.

If you are NOT in possession of a federation membership card, together with your bar code you must submit a letter on headed paper from one of the news media you collaborate with and in this case you will be given a MEDIA SERVICE pass.

Both types of pass – PRESS and MEDIA SERVICE – will bear your name: they are strictly personal and are VALID FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD of the Show. They entitle the holders to the same rights and privileges (free access to the press Room, the Press Room Visitors’ Club, all the pavilions of the Show, Motolive events – other than access to the tracks, which requires a special accreditation).

For video makers and photographers: compile the form and submit both your bar code and a document (a visiting card, a letter from a newspaper you work for, anything that might attest your activity as a video maker or a photographer). You will get a MEDIA SERVICE pass, unless you are in possession of a journalist federation membership card in which case you will receive a PRESS pass instead.

As for the Press Offices: if you are a journalist in possession of a membership card, you can use them freely as described above.

If you are NOT a journalist, you must go to a reception desk with a certificate from the Chamber of Commerce or some other document confirming that you belong to the sector, and buy an operator ticket.
If you come to the Show to see an Exhibitor that is a customer of yours, you can ask the Exhibitor to let you have an operator ticket.

Well. At this point, you are in possession of your accreditation and can visit the Fair and come see us in the Press Room.
There you will find a hospitable environment, where you can work or relax freely.

You will be provided, FREE OF CHARGE, with: Internet connections (ADSL or WI-FI), computers to write on or navigate the web, Italian and foreign news media, a TV set and a reserved hospitality area – the Visitor’s Club, obviously, you will also find the catalogue of the Show, the press releases by EICMA and the Exhibitors.

We look forward to seeing you at EICMA 2010!
